Our busy little blessing...

Despite being very sick this past week, Landon has been very busy little boy. He has learned how to get places very quickly now and and seems to advance in every area by the hour. It is so crazy to think that he is 7 months old!!! This week he discovered that if he reaches up when we put him down he gets picked back up. It is the sweetest thing to know that he wants us! It is my new favorite :). One thing Landon loves is freedom. If we are having a rough day all we have to do is put him in the stroller or car seat and go for a walk or drive and he is once again a happy boy. He is extremely curious and is into EVERYTHING! The layout of our current home is not conducive to this curiosity so I made it my goal today to make it work. What did I come up with??? I switch my living room and my dining room. This way I can see him from the kitchen while he plays with his toys AND we only have to heat two areas of our home thus saving us money. I feel like a genius when I think of these things ;). Not really sure what Blaine will think when he gets home but he said it was ok yesterday... I think. With Landon being sick last week we were stuck in the house all week. By friday, we were both a little crazy. I decided it was time to take him to the park. I was not sure how much he would enjoy himself but as it turns out there is alot to do with a 7 month old at the park. He loved watching/ learning form all the other kids and swinging on the swing by himself and with mommy...

Saturday, we had one of the worst days we have had in a long time (that is saying alot after all we have been through with Landon being sick last week). It was just very emotionally draining. Landon was a good boy just very needy and not in the best mood ever. As soon as Blaine got home he sensed that something was not right and so he loaded us up and got us out of the house. He knows so many good little getaways in the area. He took us on a little drive and then over to a little park. I am SO thankful God gave me such a compassionate man. He always knows just what will make it all better... It was just perfect!

View from the park ... We got there right as the sun was starting to set ... Like I said PERFECT...

Blaine's day off...

Today is Blaine's day off. We LOVE Thursdays! Landon loves his daddy! Thursday he usually declares a no sleep day and lately he cries anytime Blaine leaves the house. It is really sad but kinda cute. Last week we visited Blaine's parents and enjoyed all of their snow. Landon had so much fun.... it does not look like it in these pictures but he did.

Grandpa Peterson Pulling everyone in the snow....
Landon has also developed a new talent for mess/ trouble making. It will never cease to amaze me how much this little person of only seven months can do.
What does this taste like...

Apparently it is delicious....

I had just cleaned up his toys. I put a load of laundry in and came back to find this 1 minute later :). That takes talent!

I definitely do not get things done as quickly as I used to, but I love every minute of it. God has been so good to us! Sometimes I get a little tired of repeating myself and constantly chasing him down and telling him "NO" to something for the bazillionth time (yes, I realize this is only the beginning), but then I remember that if he was not the healthy little boy that he is I would not be chasing him anywhere! I am so thankful for our happy and healthy little guy!

SNOW!!!

When we started this blog I thought it would be easy to keep up on.... that was when Landon was not mobile and grabbing at everything in sight! Now the only time I have to go on the computer is when he is asleep. This is not at all because he is naughty or needy. He is just the most curious little boy EVER. If he sees something he wants he finds a way to get it. He has taken the phrase "where there is a will there is a way" to a whole new level. He is almost seven months old now... CRAZY how fast time has gone since he was born. He started pulling himself up and crawling about 3 weeks ago. It is so much fun! He is definitely not the easiest person to keep up with... but I love it! I hear him waking up so here are a few quick pics.
Landon LOVES stairs!!!

pretty much self explanatory...later that day the livingroom was switched around and made  a little more "Child friendly"

Going up

Our Snowy walk yesterday 4 miles in the snow = tons of fun and a very tired Caleb (apparently he doesn't walk much?).

Poulsbo when it first started snowing...

Landon was not super impressed... he slept the whole walk...

SO BUSY...

I NEVER remember holidays being as busy as we were/are this year. As the family grows there is so many more places to visit and people to see. While it was fun, we were more than happy to come home on Christmas night. This year was an awesome milestone in our little family it was our first child's first Christmas. Landon was so spoiled by his aunts, uncles, grandparents, great grandparents, great aunts.... you get the picture he got ALOT of stuff. This year we decided to make all the gifts. I (April) made a hat for almost everyone in both families (13 total), 5 ear warmers for the older girls, 6 scarves, 2 tutus, and 2 duct tape wallets.Together we went to the dancing brush and painted ceramics for grandparents and great grandparents. It was alot of fun and I think we will make it a family tradition. However, we had this bright idea the 2nd week of December. This gave us approx. 13 days to complete all the gifts. I think we will plan ahead a little better in the future.  After all that I forgot to take pictures of all of it... bummer. I found a couple but I will try to get more.
Great Granparent gifts

Girl's TuTus turned out pretty cute

Chrismas eve and Christmas day were a little hectic for us. We tried to split up our time between the families somewhat equally. Here are a few pics from all our visiting....

After a long holiday weekend we were able to spend monday relaxing and just enjoying our little family. Tuesday we got to go see Landon's first cousin Jessie Ann and her proud parents Baylan and Hannah. It was great to FINALLY meet this little girl. CONGRATS BRAYLAN and HANNAH!!!

To finish off the business aunt Cassie came and stayed the night on Tuesday.

Hate how I look in this picture but I ADORE his face... You can almost hear his giggle. He was loving on Mommy!
 LOVE IT!

Sorry for the long post there is so much more that I could do but I figure this is already long enough. ;)
